Aronar’s Armory Updated

Aronar’s Armory updated (GM Binder). Changes follow:

  • Added nonmetalic armors (1 light, 4 medium, 1 heavy). Ankheg plate will be included in a future release (non Armory) as a magical item (in the same way adamantine, mithral, and dragonscale armor is handled officially).
  • Renamed some weapons to be straightforward for players to better skin the weapon: Dao renamed to Great Scimitar, Jutte renamed to Parrying Dagger. Flail, Light renamed to Light Flail to be more consistent with “Light Hammer” naming convention instead of crossbows.
  • Flail revision has been removed; finesse option moved to a new feat.
  • Added several new weapons: Ball and Chain, Long Spear, Lucerne Hammer, Triple Staff, and War Scythe, plus a revision for the Pike.
  • Weapons now list in the description if they count as existing weapons for feats and class features for better compatibility.
  • Several weapons had their properties adjusted for better balance and reduce the number of special effects so they are easier to use in play.
    • Falchion versatile damage increased
    • Light flail no longer has the light property. While dual nunchaku is a style, it’s not prevalent enough to allow without feat.
    • Swordstaff no longer has the finesse property. Switched to using a feat to enable finesse with staff-style weapons. Price dropped to compensate.
    • Trident has its damage increased and lost its special property
  • New feats added to better allow customization with greater ranges of weapons and other combat maneuvers:
    • Aerial Acrobatics grants a number of jump and falling maneuvers that allow reaction attacks.
    • Agile Weapon Training allows certain staff-style weapons, the sickle, flail, and club to be treated as having the finesse property.
    • Chain Mastery opens up maneuvers with whips and chains.
    • Hafted Glory allows some options for axes and hammers.
    • Medium Armor Specialization allows usage of Con instead of Dex for AC.
    • Rapid Flurry aims to improve unarmed combat when measured against certain weapon feats.
    • Weapon Master (revised) allows you to focus on one weapon gaining some benefits.
  • Some feats were edited:
    • Gladiator Fighting removed reference to modifying nets.
    • Hand Switch rebalanced to be less additive.
    • Impulse Shot enhances thrown and ranged combat.
    • Triggered Kinesis damage tweaked.
    • Weapon Expert replaces (official) Weapon Master and grants simple and martial proficiency and 1 ability point to be on par with armor feats (simple weapons included to avoid unfairly taxing druids, sorcerers, and wizards).
